Call for Arts and Crafts Instructors

Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts is a 13,000 sq. ft.multi-arts facility which is leased by the Society of Vermont Artists and Craftsmen, Inc. a non-profit organization which operates the Fletcher Farm School for the Arts and Crafts located in Ludlow, Vermont. The School consists of ten classrooms in a renovated historic Vermont Farm setting, with a Craft and Gift Shoppe which is open during the summer months.

  "Our commitment is to quality arts and crafts education,
to keep alive old traditions, to teach new techniques,
in a special Vermont setting at reasonable
cost to the general public."


 
Summer courses are offered from mid June to mid September 7 days a week, consisting of classes of 1 (one) to 5 (five) days in length. Hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm daily with a one hour lunch break and an AM and a PM break of twenty minutes.

Fall, Winter, Spring classes are weekends from 9:00am to 4:00pm daily with a lunch break.

We also offer mid-week series classes which run in the evenings, time(s) to be determined by instructor.

We are currently in the process of determining which courses will be offered in the Winter-Spring and of 2009 and 2010 Summer courses. We are always recruiting potential new instructors.

Note: We have a large ceramics kiln (summer use only), an electric potters wheel, many floor easels, ironing boards, felt boards, 8 floor looms, Mat Board Cutter, irons, light tables, slide projector, TV with VCR/DVD combo and more. Please call the school to see if we may have any other equipment necessary to teach your class.
